Colori: old plow wheel and in the middle a technical cogwheel as a plow. Bent and desperate is a Citizen of Calais by Rodin, behind it another, Lady in rags refers to the previous part of the diptych, Cutty Sark, and is also present at Ripa - 'completely torn to shreds'. The background is a large waterfall = valley of tears. Top right an IC nurse who gives a cry for help. Everything old and new mixed together. Restore the allegory!

Een Man die met beyde handen aen den ploegh staet, als of hy wilde ploegen, en die met sijn aengesicht te rugge siet, en also geboogen, dat hy geheel en al een af keeringe in sijn gemoed van dese handelinge heeft, waer toe hy geschickt was, nae uytwijsen van de spreucke Iesu Christi in 't Euangelium, Wie sijn hand aen den ploegh slaet.
Colori: oud ploegwiel en in het midden technisch tandrad als ploeg. Gebogen en in desperate houding is een Burger van Calais van Rodin, erachter nog een, Lady in rags refereert aan het vorige deel van het tweeluik, Cutty Sark, en is bij Ripa ook aanwezig - 'geheel in flarden gescheurt'. De achtergrond is een grote waterval = tranendal. Rechtsboven een IC-verpleger(ster) die een noodkreet slaakt. Alles oud en nieuw dooreen. Restaureer de allegorie!
